About Aliyah
Aliyah Wright is the Community-Based Gun Violence Reduction Project Coordinator at the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences at the AVÌìÌÃÍø. She received her B.A. in Criminal Justice in 2023 along with a certificate in Civil Rights and Title IX Investigations from the AVÌìÌÃÍø: all while participating as a member of the women’s basketball team. In summer of 2022, she interned at Albany Law School where she worked alongside members of the Albany Community Police Review Board. In 2024, she completed an M.S. in Criminal Investigations from the AVÌìÌÃÍø. After graduating, she served as a victim advocate for sexual assault survivors in the Greater New Haven area before returning to take on the role of Project Coordinator at the AVÌìÌÃÍø.
